Thank you for taking the time to start your application please prepare by gathering the documents required listed below for your business or non-profit.

About the Program:
The fund is intended to support an equitable and diverse small business environment and non-profit ecosystem in San Antonio. Organizations with up to $2 million in gross annual revenues and with up to 20 employees may apply for the fund.

The fund is not first come first serve. The application will be open for two weeks; application submission will be verified with documents submitted below. After qualifying based on the size of organization and losses, each application will receive an application score based on three elements: The City’s equity score, diversity of business and non-profit, and federal funds received.

The Fund's Required Business Qualifications:

• Business operating and established prior to August 1, 2019
• Business cannot have received grant from Bexar County COVID19 program in 2020
• Negative COVID impact since March 1, 2020
• Revenue loss of 15% for businesses
• Budget reduction by 15% for non profits
• Annual gross revenues less than $2 million
• Have no more than 20 employees
• Commit to Greater. SAfer. Together. Pledge
• Commit to creating recovery plan and support with partner organizations
• The Fund will only provide one grant per business owner

Small Business Documents List:

• Business entity formation document (document from Bexar County or Secretary of State with date of formation) prior to August 1, 2019. The business entity formation document must have owner on it to verify ownership of business
• January – June 2020 business bank statements or bank statements that demonstrate business activity
• 2018 or 2019 business tax return. We highly encourage your 2019 business tax return. For sole proprietors please provide your 1099, K1 or Schedule C from the IRS Tax Form 1040 for 2018 or 2019
• Payroll Documentation with employee listing/count and Q1 2020 IRS 941
• Valid Personal Identification including: Driver’s license; ID; W-9 or 990
• Proof of Business location inside City of San Antonio
• Proof of business owner race, ethnicity and gender or South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency documentation (if applicable for ownership);
• Military DD214 or honorable discharge documentation (if applicable for ownership)

Non-Profit Documents List:

• Business entity formation document (document from Bexar County or Secretary of State with date of formation) prior to August 1, 2019
• January – June 2020 non-profit bank statements or bank statements that demonstrate business activity
• 2018 or 2019 business tax return. We highly encourage your 2019 business tax return
• Valid Personal Identification including: Driver’s license; ID; W-9 or 990
• Proof of Business location inside City of San Antonio
• Payroll Documentation with employee listing/count and Q1 2020 IRS 941
• IRS Non Profit Status Letter

Grant Amounts:

• Self Employed businesses up to $10,000
• Microbusinesses with 1-5 employees grant up to $25,000
• Small businesses with 6-10 employees grant up to $50,000
• Small businesses with 11-20 employees grant up to $75,000
• Up to 10% of the fund is dedicated to Non-profits

Tips:

• All documents must be provided in order for the application to be considered complete. Any applications submitted without documents or incorrect documents will NOT be considered. Applicants have the ability to upload the documents securely and safely through the online application. Applicants may log in and log out saving their application information and document uploads.
• Please note that as you proceed with the application there will be guidance as to whether or not you will qualify for this program. Please pay attention to those messages to avoid not meeting the qualifications.
